What a K&K installation includes

1. Confirm sizing, fuel type and location, and check whether the job needs a permit.
2. Drain and disconnect the old unit, then remove it from your home.
3. Set the new heater on a proper base with a drain pan where required.
4. Install new supply connectors, shutoff valve, and a correctly piped temperature and pressure relief line.
5. Add a thermal expansion tank if your system has a check valve or pressure-reducing valve.
6. For gas units, connect and leak-test the gas line and verify venting.
7. Fill, purge air, power up, set the temperature, and check every connection under pressure.
